Programs and Services We Offer
New Hope Charities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized for making positive changes in remote low-income and disadvantaged communities by addressing the most pressing needs of the community – hunger, health, and education. These are the building blocks for a good life. By bringing together the factors needed by a community, New Hope Charities hopes to create long-lasting changes to address the underlying causes of these poverty-stricken populations. Our programs and services are listed below:
- Food distribution to families who meet the federal guidelines on poverty
- Health and Nutrition Classes, including nutritious snacks
- Out-of-School Care for children attending elementary and middle school (after school and summers)
- Tutoring and Homework Assistance
- Reading Mastering Program
- Computer Learning Center
- Indoor and Outdoor Recreational Programs
- Financial Literacy (Economics) for children
- Lending Library in collaboration with the Palm Beach County Library
- Literacy Classes for children and adults
- ESOL (English Classes) for Adults
- Yearly Thanksgiving Turkey Give-Away
- Annual Christmas Toy-Give-Away (over 2,000 toys in December 2009)
- Oakwood of the Palm Beaches provides life skills’ training/crisis intervention.
- Subsidized Day Care exists on-site in collaboration with the Redlands Christian Migrant Association.
- A medical clinic will soon serve up to 700 patients each month.
